One of the oldest theatres in the US and an iconic Wilmington landmark, Thalian Hall has been in continues use since opening in 1858. This historic landmark stays very busy offering shows, events and films throughout the year attracting audiences of all sizes.

The Wilson Center, located at Cape Fear Community College, is a state-of-the-art auditorium hosting popular musical acts and Broadway plays, plus classical concerts throughout the year.

Wilmington has earned the nickname “Hollywood of the East” and “Wilmywood” as the area has been the location for many films and television shows. Screen Gems Studios is a 50-acre, full-service studio lot offering 10 stages with 150,000 sq. ft. of column-free shooting space.
